The Great Smoky Mountains are a speciality of ours and we have a number of great homes always available. Prices at the moment start at around £130,000 and that area has a great rental market and wonderful scenery. The current situation in the US property market is extreme however there are a number of reasons why this is still a great time to buy there for property investors. 1) The Ppound and Euro are still relatively strong against the dollar. 2) There are fantastic discounted property deals to be had. 3) The rental income has stayed the same making the return even better. 4) In the medium and long term a couple of these factors will also improve again adding value to an investment made now. Summer sales levels less than half of last yearMonday 1st December 2008Transaction levels in England and Wales plunged to an average of 54,488 house sales per month from May to August inclusive. The figure is less than half last year's average of 118,165 sales per month, according to the latest Land Registry report. Figures for the last three months have not yet been finalised. The Land Registry also reported a monthly drop of 1.5% in price during October, taking the average price down to £165,529 for a year on year fall of 10.1%. One of the worst hit areas was London, where October's house prices were 1.9% down from September. Source: Estate Agent News. |
